IMAMIS (International Masters in Applied
Mathematics and Information Science) is an
EU funded AsiaLink program aimed at developing the ability of the
Philippines and neighbouring countries to produce mathematicians and computer
scientists relevant to their economic and cultural needs. European
and Asian university instructors will cooperate in creating innovative
teaching strategies on three inter-related and multi-disciplinary areas,
namely Numerical Analysis, Mathematical Finance and Information Science.
The program will also introduce new partnerships between universities
and local companies.

Aside from joint teaching of graduate level courses
in numerical analysis, mathematical finance and information sciences,
we also organized IMAMIS Schools and three meetings for the teachers were
held in 2005, 2006 and 2007.
